Due to a sustained period of growth Sykes Transport are looking to fill roles operating out of our Kewdale Depot and Welshpool Warehouse. Welshpool Warehouse:
Forklift Operator - Core objectives include:
⭐️ Receipt, unloading/loading, checking and storing goods
⭐️ Ensuring incoming stock is put away in an efficient manner
⭐️ Ensuring all orders are picked, packed and despatched efficiently and to standards and timeframes required.
⭐️ Assisting to maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse, yard and amenities.
⭐️ Some cutting of flooring products (carpet) to suit customer orders.
⭐️ Hand unloading containers of underlay
⭐️ General Warehousing tasks as required

Kewdale Depot:
Local MC - Core objectives include:
⭐️ Proven experience in operating multi-combination vehicles.
⭐️ Minimum 3 years MC (or HC) rated driving experience and experience with road ranger gearboxes.
⭐️ General Freight experience.
⭐️ Good knowledge of Perth metro area.
⭐️ Dangerous Goods licensed (desirable but not essential).
⭐️ Controlled Waste licenses (desirable but not essential).
⭐️ Side loader experience (desirable but not essential).
⭐️ MSIC card (desirable but not essential).

Due to a period of sustained growth an opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced MC (DG an advantage) truck driver. These positions available for suitably experienced MC truck drivers for linehaul work between Perth and the Goldfields.
The candidates we are looking for will be equipped with the following skills;

⭐️ Proven experience in multi-combination vehicles
⭐️ Minimum 3 years MC rated driving experience with road ranger gearboxes.
⭐️General freight experience
⭐️Dangerous Goods license (preferred but not required)
⭐️ Must have a valid Commercial Vehicle Drivers Medical
⭐️ Must be able to pass pre-employment medical.
⭐️ Must be able to pass Drug and Alcohol tests.

We had the pleasure of having Central Regional TAFE Heavy Vehicle Driving Operations students join us for a day at our Kalgoorlie Depot! 😃

We hope the students enjoyed some hands-on experience, and are looking forward to hosting more days like this in the future!

We are incredibly grateful to Sykes Transport for giving our Heavy Vehicle Driving Operations students at Kalgoorlie hands-on experience. On April 1st, students participated in a morning toolbox meeting, pre-start checks of forklifts and a Volvo Prime mover, and observed the daily operations of a working transport company. Real-life experience is a valuable component of their learning journey.
