🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT: Changed overnight traffic conditions on New England Highway and Cessnock Road, Maitland from Monday 7 September 2026.

Geotechnical and survey investigations are currently being carried out to help inform the new Maitland Westbound Overpass project, with intermittent work in the area until the end of November, weather permitting.

🚧 To minimise impact to motorists and ensure worker safety, there will be some night work in the area as required, between 7pm and 5am - Monday to Friday.

🚧 From Monday 7 September, shoulder closures will be in place during day work, with intermittent single lane closures, traffic control and a 40km/h speed limit in place during night work as required, which may affect travel times.

🚛 Oversize and/or overmass operators are advised to call ahead on UHF channel 45 to be escorted through the site.

⚠️ Vehicles travelling under a permit must not travel off the approved route listed in the permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.

You’ve seen a few photos and now it’s time to properly introduce HEYBUD, our Kenworth T659 and one of the newest additions to the Carter Heavy Haulage & Transport fleet.

Set up for B-Double and Road Train operations, HEYBUD has been built with performance, reliability and driver comfort in mind, adding even more versatility to our growing fleet.

And behind the wheel is Sean👌🏻💚

Sean is both a qualified diesel mechanic and professional driver. He takes an incredible amount of pride in the equipment he’s given to drive, and it gives us great pride to hand him the keys to HEYBUD. We know she’ll be very well looked after with Sean behind the wheel 🚛💚

For us, a new truck is about much more than expanding the fleet.

It’s about investing in our people and giving them safe, reliable and comfortable equipment to do their job while continuing to deliver the high standard our clients expect.

A huge thank you to Gilbert & Roach Newcastle and Sales Representative Troy Ridley for your support throughout the build and delivery.

Another proud milestone for the Carter Group 💚🚛

Last week, we officially took delivery of HEYBUD our brand new Kenworth T659. This one has been in the pipeline for over 12 months, and this time, we had the pleasure of handing the keys over to Sean.

Sean has been part of the Carter team for a long time. Not only is he an experienced professional driver, he’s also a qualified diesel mechanic and he certainly doesn’t mind making a mile whenever he can.

He has always taken great pride in whatever he drives, and has continued to step up and take on more as our business has grown.

So handing him the keys to HEYBUD was a pretty special moment for all of us, and an opportunity that is very well deserved 💚

A big thank you once again to Troy and the team at Gilbert & Roach Newcastle for helping us bring another project to life. We really appreciate the ongoing support 🙏
