Most tourists drive right past Santa Ana without stopping. That's their loss.

Just 30 minutes from San José, La Chimba Coffee Farm hides one of the most unique trails in Costa Rica — the Mantra Trail. You hike through coffee-covered hills, pass hand-carved sculptures like a Buddha, a Blue Morpho butterfly, and a traditional Costa Rican oxcart, and end up at the iconic Hand of La Chimba, with the entire Central Valley spread out below you.

Then you head down for a coffee tasting straight from the farm — small, family-run, nothing commercial about it. Some people add zipline over the valley. Some just sit with their coffee and take it all in.
