It was a full-circle moment for us as former strategic course delegates received their Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP) award certificates.

The Fleet Academy awards ceremony was just one standout moment of yesterday's Annual Conference 2026, which featured presentations from the Department for Transport, British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association - BVRLA, and AI, as well as engaging panel discussions and an interactive training session led by Ronnie Gillman of AFP.

It was a captivating, insightful, and rewarding day, and we couldn’t resist taking a quick lap around the British Motor Museum for good measure.

Thank you, AFP, and congratulations to all the award-winning delegates.

Approved Repairer Performance Awards 2026.

Congratulations to our Q1 South Winner: Barney, Sands & Hartridge Limited!

Established in 1938, Barney Sands has a rich history. From its origins in coachbuilding to the founders being drafted to work on aircraft and MOD vehicles, it is now a family-run business offering a wide range of services.

They are a longstanding AX-UK | Motor Assist repairer who work closely with our Dartford depot and consistently deliver quality repairs. Gemma and her team have excelled, forging strong operational relationships and ensuring every vehicle is turned around seamlessly.

Join us as we celebrate the repairers making a difference in incident management.

Our AX-UK | Motor Assist repair network is designed to accommodate a wide range of vehicle repair services across the UK. We consistently receive outstanding feedback on the quality of the work they produce, and so it’s time to show our appreciation.

Each quarter, we will present two Approved Repairer Performance Awards to members of our network. One to a bodyshop in the North and one to a bodyshop in the South of the UK.

We hope you will join us in celebrating them as they share our joint mission to keep standards high and incident management agile.

Tomorrow, we announce the inaugural winners…

The UK's EV Readiness Index has improved but remains fragile.

The index, published by the AA, measures and compares countries' preparedness for adopting electric vehicles (EVs).

Despite some positives in this quarter's report, ongoing support remains crucial to strengthen the UK's index score.

To address these challenges, Motor Assist operates a repair network of over two hundred expert bodyshops for both ICE and EVs, ensuring that drivers receive a like-for-like replacement vehicle, including EVs, after an accident.

EValuate, our latest initiative, can also give ICE drivers the opportunity to select an EV for a real-world extended test-drive to see if electric ownership is viable.

Motor Assist create bespoke incident management solutions that drive results to support your business through the ever-changing automotive landscape.
