🚕 VIKING TAXIS – MISSING CUSTOMER! 😂

Trying to track down a customer who booked a taxi for tomorrow at 12:15.

It appears my diary has decided to develop a mind of its own. Instead of putting your pickup address down, it’s written something completely random that makes absolutely no sense. 🤦‍♂️😂

So if you’ve booked me for 12:15 tomorrow, could you please get in touch?

I know what time I’m picking you up. I just haven’t got a bloody clue where from. 😂🚕

🚕 A quick word about local taxi availability…

I understand it’s frustrating when you can’t get a taxi locally, but the reality is there simply isn’t enough local work to make minimum wage once running costs are taken into account.if I’m in the car and I’m local I will try my best to get you

Here’s the simple maths:

⛽ Fuel: £1.99 a litre
🚕 Typical local fare: £6
⏱️ Time per job: 15–20 minutes from the Time I
leave the house
💷 Best case: 3–4 jobs an hour
📊 That’s £18–£24 an hour GROSS

And that’s turnover, not wages — before fuel, insurance, licensing, servicing, tyres, repairs and wear and tear.

Thats also assuming £6 jobs magically appear back-to-back every 15 minutes… unfortunately, they don’t. 😂 Some hours I might only get one £6 local job — at which point, once the running costs are taken into account, I’m actually paying to pick you up .

I genuinely appreciate the local support, but Viking Taxis is a business and the numbers have to add up. The car still refuses to run on fresh air and potato peelings 😂

And please, there’s no point being rude if I can’t do your journey. It won’t make the fuel cheaper or a taxi magically appear. 😂⚔️

🚕 VIKING TAXIS – QUICK APOLOGY! 🚕

Sorry if you’ve messaged me and I haven’t replied yet… I’m not ignoring you, I’ve just apparently decided to see how much work one man can physically fit into a month. 😂

September has been absolutely MENTAL so far, and my phone currently seems to think it’s a full-time member of staff. 📱🤣

⚠️ Availability for the rest of September is VERY slim, and October is already starting to fill up too.

So if you’ve got an airport run, night out, trip away or anything else coming up, get booked in sooner rather than later — because unfortunately cloning a Viking is still not available. 😂⚔️

And if I owe you a reply… give me a nudge! I promise it’s chaos, not ignorance. 😅

⚔️ Public Service Announcement from Viking Taxis…

I’m beginning to think the airlines are making their schedules up with a dartboard.

The last three weeks have probably been the worst I’ve seen in 20 years for delayed flights. Every airport seems to be running on “we’ll get there when we get there” time!

Somehow, I’ve still managed to get everyone home (with only a few extra grey hairs), and I’ll always do everything I possibly can to cover every airport booking.

That said, there may be the odd occasion where several delayed flights land at once. Unfortunately, I’ve only got one taxi, one driver, and I still haven’t mastered cloning myself… so I might occasionally be running late or, in rare cases, be unable to cover a booking.

As always, I’ll keep you updated if delays affect your collection and I’ll do everything I can to get to you as soon as possible.

Thanks to everyone who’s been patient and understanding—it genuinely means a lot.

🚖 Viking Taxis – Saved by the Taxi Brotherhood! 🛞😅

So… picture this: going about my day, jobs rolling in, all good… then BANG — tyre decides it’s had enough of life. Proper blowout. Not ideal.

There I am, stranded, questioning my life choices… when along comes a legend from Danny T Taxi with a spare wheel like some kind of roadside superhero 🦸‍♂️

Crisis = averted. Pride = slightly dented. Wheel = replaced.

But jokes aside, it’s a solid reminder that being a one-man band doesn’t mean going it alone. There’s real power in looking out for each other — even if you’re technically “the competition.”

At Viking Taxis, I’m all about building those connections. Because today it was me needing help… tomorrow it could be someone else.

Moral of the story:
✔ Check your tyres
✔ Keep a spare
✔ And make friends in the trade 😄
