Thanks to its location just south of the Scottish border, Carlisle was one of the most strategically important cities in Britain. For centuries, it stood at the heart of conflicts between England and Scotland, with control of the city changing hands multiple times during the medieval period.

Sorry we’ve been a little quiet since Show & Tell 2026! After a much-needed recovery, a return to our day jobs, and plenty of time reflecting on what was an incredible day, we’ve already started talking about Show & Tell 2027… but before we look ahead, we want to take a moment to say a huge thank you.

To our funders, sponsors, supporters, exhibitors, performers, community groups, local businesses and partner organisations - thank you for believing in the event and helping us bring it to life. Your support makes Show & Tell possible and allows us to create a free, family-friendly event for the people of Carlisle and beyond.
To our amazing volunteers, thank you for your time, energy and enthusiasm. From the early morning setups to the final pack down, your dedication behind the scenes is what keeps everything running smoothly.

And finally, to each and every one of the 5,000+ visitors who came along, explored the stalls, enjoyed the entertainment, supported local organisations and spent the day with us in Bitts Park – thank you. The atmosphere, smiles, conversations and community spirit throughout the day reminded us exactly why this event matters.
