Yesterday we had the pleasure of taking a group of 10 international guests to the Annandale Distillery in Dumfries & Galloway.

While we didn’t join the tour ourselves, the feedback was fantastic from our guests who thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

🎉Kilt Hire for the Scottish Borders!🎉

We are thrilled to share we are now up and running with our Kilt Hire for the Scottish Borders from our Duns Showroom.

Many of our local customers will know of David Thomson's Men's Outfitters, based in Jedburgh, and their kilt hire service that has provided kilt outfits for weddings, parties, school dances and family gatherings for decades.

David Thomson's business has come to a close, and their kilt hire business has become part of ScotlandShop, now operating from our Head Office and Showroom on Station Road in Duns.

We have some last minute availability for Burns Night, or if you need a kilt for the upcoming Six Nations matches. We can also cater for kids!

Our tartans include: Grey Granite, Scottish Thistle, Spirit of Scotland, Black Watch Modern, Douglas Modern, Braveheart and Jethart.

New Year, New Job! Join Our Team as a Forest & Garden Machinery Mechanic!

We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Forest & Garden Machinery Mechanic to join the team here at Border Chainsaw & Lawnmower Services in Earlston. This is a full-time, permanent role, Monday to Friday, based in our workshop with some off-site repairs and machinery deliveries/collections.

Previous mechanical experience is essential, but full training will be provided through a range of dealer and in-house courses.

We are an award-winning team looking for a reliable and motivated Cafe/Bar Team Leader to join us. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role with a strong focus on food preparation and cooking, where our customers expect consistently high standards.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Cooking and preparing food to order
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
• Serving customers in the café and bar
• Opening and closing the premises
• Leading and supporting the team during service
• Working weekends on a rotational basis

You will work closely with others, but the role requires initiative, self-motivation, and the confidence to lead from the front.

Training will be provided, so experience is welcome but not essential.
