The Department of Infrastructure says it looks like a 10-day strike by bus drivers will go ahead this Saturday, despite negotiations.

A bus strike later this month will see drivers walking out for 10 days.

Our little electric cars have been buzzing around through the ice and the snow with no trouble whatsoever. Hopefully the airport will get back to normal tomorrow and we're keeping an eye on things!

The Isle of Man Government / Isle of Man Department of Infrastructure have announced the Mountain Road is to be closed at 1pm until 5pm as a safety measure amid the storm force winds this afternoon. This may change dependent on prevailing conditions.

In preparation for the predicted significant over-topping the following coastal roads will close to all traffic from 1pm:

⚠️ Shore Road, Rushen between Gansey and Fishers Hill
⚠️ The Promenade, Castletown
⚠️ King Edward Road between Summerhill and Port Jack
⚠️ The Promenade, Laxey

The seasonal parking on the walkway, Loch Promenade, Douglas has been suspended for the day.

The closures are in force until 4pm. Please note: the closures may have to be extended if clean-up operations are still ongoing. It is advised to move all vehicles which may be parked on these roads ahead of the closures coming into force.
