Just five more minutes of exercise and thirty minutes less time spent sitting each day could have a significant effect on a person's health. An additional five minutes of brisk walking each day was linked to an estimated 10% decrease in deaths. Additionally, a 30-minute daily reduction in sedentary time was linked to an estimated 7% decrease in all deaths, according to research conducted by the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences.
