Braking distances are another essential part of your journey, should the spaces around you change your braking distance and being aware of it, can help prevent a myriad of issues.

Below are key points you should consider when monitoring your braking distance.

Driving vehicles comes with a fair amount of interaction with the ever changing environment around you and while you pay particular attention to things like pedestrians, wildlife, weather etc it might sometimes be overlooked that you’re possibly a little too close to the vehicle in front.

Stopping distances are a way to remind yourself about the important distances you need to keep to bring your vehicle to a complete stop, should your environment change and will be effected by factors such as road conditions, your attention and your vehicle condition.
