Unst, known as the 'island above all others', is Shetland – and the UK's – most northerly place, claiming the most northerly house, church, shop, pub, beach, bus stop … the list goes on!
A two-ferry hop from the Mainland, Unst is rich in wildlife, geology and archaeology, and is an island that you will fall in love with.
Unst is an unmissable experience, and after the success of last year's Wool Week patron tour, I'm offering it all again :)
📅Saturday 5th October 2024 0830 - 1845 - Departing from Shetland Museum & Archives car park£95 pp (£85 pp for Patrons)
This tour will go to the far north, and the island of Unst, the island above all others. On this tour, I will provide a full coach commentary and we will visit the following sites of interest along the way.
• Muness Castle
• Lund Standing Stone and Underhoull Broch
• Haroldswick Viking Longhouse and Longship
• Unst Heritage Centre and/or Boat Haven (depending on time)
• Bobby's Bus Shelter
• Norwick Beach
I hope this tour will offer a good mix of history and culture, as well as a yummy lunch at Victoria's Vintage Tearooms (included in price). (Her cream tea is unrivalled!)
