Od poniedziałku 22 czerwca do piątku 26 czerwca 2026 roku, pociągi East Midlands Railway nie kursują na trasie między Bedford a Londynem St Pancras. To wynik poważnego wypadku kolejowego, do którego doszło w piątek, 20 czerwca, na południe od Bedford, w okolicy Elstow interchange. W wyniku zderzenia dwóch składów pociągów zginął maszynista, a 28 osób zostało rannych, w tym dziewięć w stanie
krytycznym.

From Monday, June 22nd to Friday, June 26th, 2026, East Midlands Railway trains will not run between Bedford and London St Pancras. This is due to a serious rail accident that occurred on Friday, June 20th, south of Bedford, near the Elstow interchange. A collision between two trains resulted in the death of the driver and injuries to 28 people, nine of whom were critical.
