Most people who play golf around Mt. Fuji only see one side of the mountain.
Many golf trips stay around Gotemba and play all three rounds on the eastern side of Mt. Fuji. There is nothing wrong with that, but the view of the mountain is almost always from the same direction.
This 5-day, 3-round golf itinerary is designed differently.
Instead of staying in one area and repeating the same view, we arrange the courses around three sides of Mt. Fuji:
South side
West side
East side
Day 1: Arrival in Japan, transfer to Fujinomiya
After arrival at Narita or Haneda Airport, your private charter will take you toward the Mt. Fuji area.
If time allows, we can arrange a stop at Gotemba Premium Outlets or a second-hand golf equipment shop. Gotemba Premium Outlets is one of the largest outlet malls in Japan, and on a clear day, Mt. Fuji appears beautifully in the background.
The first two nights are arranged in the Fujinomiya area, which is convenient for the south-side and west-side golf courses. On the third night, the group moves to Gotemba, making the final round on the eastern side smoother the next morning. The last night is arranged in Tokyo, giving you time for dinner, shopping, and a relaxed airport transfer on the final day.
Day 2: First round, south side of Mt. Fuji
Fuji River Golf Club
Fuji River Golf Club is one of the representative golf courses in the Fujinomiya area. The fairways are open and comfortable, making it a suitable first round for the trip. From this side, you see Mt. Fuji from the south — a completely different angle from Gotemba.
The private charter is based on 10 hours per day. If the tee time and pace of play go smoothly, there may be time after golf to visit Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine or the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Centre.
Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine is the head shrine of Sengen shrines across Japan and an important site connected to Mt. Fuji worship. The Mt. Fuji World Heritage Centre is a good place to understand the mountain's history, culture, and geological background.
Day 3: Second round, west side of Mt. Fuji
Nishi-Fuji Golf Club
or
PGM Fuji Chisan Country Club
One of these courses will be arranged depending on your travel date and course availability.
The view of Mt. Fuji from the west side is very different from both Gotemba and Fujinomiya. After seeing the mountain from the south side, playing from the west side adds another layer to the experience.
If the round finishes smoothly, an afternoon visit to Oshino Hakkai may be possible. If time is limited, we will return directly to the hotel and keep the day relaxed.
Day 4: Third round, eastern side of Mt. Fuji
Fuji Country Club
or
Sanko Fuji Golf Club
Both courses are located in the Gotemba area. On a clear day, Mt. Fuji appears directly in front of the fairways, making it a strong finishing view for the final round.
After golf, transfer directly to Tokyo. The driving time is approximately 90 minutes. In the evening, you may enjoy free time around Asakusa, Ginza, Tokyo Skytree, or another area of your choice.
Day 5: Tokyo and airport transfer
After breakfast, the morning can be arranged flexibly depending on your flight time. Possible light stops include Tsukiji Market, Ueno Park, or Naritasan Shinshoji Temple before transferring to the airport.
This is a 3-round golf journey around three sides of Mt. Fuji: south, west, and east.
Sightseeing after golf is arranged flexibly based on the pace of play each day. We do not force the schedule or rush the group.
The Fujinomiya and Gotemba areas require local knowledge of driving routes, golf course locations, tee times, and daily timing. We handle all the coordination — you simply bring your golf clubs and enjoy the trip.
