AAI Limited Inspects NITT Zaria Ahead of Smart National Transport Data Bank Rollout

Asia Arab Investment (AAI) Limited, a key partner in the PPP agreement for the Smart National Transport Data Bank, visited the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology Headquarters in Zaria on August 5, 2026.

The visit was to inspect equipment on ground and finalize preparations for the full commencement of the project.

The DG/CE, NITT, Dr Bayero Salih Farah, was represented by Director, Transport School, Engr. Remi Adewumi.

The Director, Transport Research and Intelligence, Dr. Baba Ibrahim Mundi disclosed that the project would soon kick off fully .

The Smart National Transport Data Bank project is expected to improve transport planning, safety, and data management across Nigeria.

NITT HOLDS 2025/2026 MATRICULATION CEREMONY, DG/CE URGES STUDENTS TO PURSUE EXCELLENCE

The Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria, has successfully conducted its 2025/2026 Academic Session Matriculation Ceremony, formally admitting the newly enrolled HND, ND, NID and NVC students into the institution.

The event, held at the Institute's Main Auditorium, brought together directors, heads of strategic units, staff, students, labour union representatives, and invited guests in a colourful ceremony marking the beginning of the students' academic journey at NITT.

The Director-General/ Chief Executive, Dr. Bayero Salih Farah, who declared the event open, congratulated the newly matriculated students. He also encouraged them to uphold discipline, integrity, and academic excellence, devoid of all forms of examination malpractice, cultism, drug abuse, and other social vices.

Dr. Farah reaffirmed NITT's commitment to producing highly skilled professionals capable of driving innovation and development in Nigeria's transport sector.

The Registrar, Dr. Maina W. A. Tarfa, welcomed the matriculants on behalf of the Institute's management.

The matriculation ceremony officially marked the students' admission into the Institute, with management expressing confidence that the new entrants would contribute positively to the growth and reputation of NITT.

NITT EBONYI OUTREACH LEARNING CENTRE WELCOMES HON. COMMISSIONER FOR SKILL DEVELOPMENT & JOB CREATION, EBONYI STATE

Today, the new Honourable Commissioner for Skill Development and Job Creation, Ebonyi State, Prof Nwogo Ajuka Obasi, paid a courtesy visit to the NITT Ebonyi Outreach Learning Centre.

The visit focused on strengthening collaboration in skills training, job creation, and youth empowerment. The Honourable Commissioner commended the Centre's efforts equipment and facility deployment and pledged to support the Institute's programmes.
