Busy week with restocking our fall scents and prepping for 2 GREAT EVENTS this upcoming weekend !!
Saturday : the Epic Sasquatch Festival ( not sure how I got dragged into this one 😂🫣) but we’ll be there with our candles & some special Sasquatch things 🙃🫈
SUNDAY: the annual Mountain Rottie Rescue fundraiser Wolf Hollow Brewing Company 1-5pm.
We love supporting rescues and this one is near & dear to our hearts 🥰
Our pups Mr. Porter & old lady Katie are adopted from them and they are the most wonderful people doing amazing things rescuing all of these doggies! So if you are looking to rescue a local pup stop by on Sunday ! Grab a b**r - food- raffles and shop some local vendors all for a great cause! I’ll be bringing all the doggy candles - pet paintings and treats with me ! ❤️

Welp in the typical ways of Rian - I think she was praying to the rain gods for today because she wanted to sleep in this morning and NOT be pushed in the rain … I hear kid neither did momma BUT we let you sleep in and dadda & momma ran FOR YOU ! So many miles put in with you this summer running circles around our neighborhood…
And We got together a team of AMAZING SUPPORTERS! ( some we’ve never met but joined our team because of our mission ( thank you Heather 😊) and Rian’s amazing therapists who are more like family to us !
Thank you to her team members for sticking it out in this weather ( as you can tell I was miserable from the start 😂🫣)
Hoping to push this kid in a few more races if the weather allows it ! 🙃
Thank you Dake Foundation For Children for Rian’s awesome stroller - she loves cruisin around in it ❤️

Good morning !
Rain has stopped - clouds are going to be clearing - some great vendors are inside the barn - b**r is flowing - the bills are playing AND WE HAVE SUNFLOWERS! 🌻
Head on up to Dancing Grain Farm Brewery today to watch the game - grab some food - sample some great b**r - shop the vendors - pick some wild flowers and sunflowers .
Sounds like a great Sunday to me ! I’ll be here from now until 4pm! 🙃

HELLOOO SEPTEMBER! 🍁
( even though I’m still holding onto summer as tight as possible 😩)
I say the same thing at this time of year : the ONE thing I dislike about being a candle maker is having to jump start seasons… so here we are thinking fall already !
Check out our SEPTEMBER SCHEDULE!
It’s a craaaazy one ! We are all over the place but super excited for each event!

The start of our very cranky crying aggravated@bostonchildrens trip.
We have THREE visits scheduled for the month of September… this visit , a visit for Botox in her lower limbs and then a 48 hour inpatient eeg at the end of September.
But for Today : Annual endocrinology follow up - to discuss puberty and bone density . We are due for a DXA scan so when we come back in October for a different follow up we’ll add that to the list of appts…
Tomorrow: annual follow up with Dr Heidary for neuro-ophthalmology ( she has the most amazing bedside manners besides being super smart and awesome at her job 🥰) Rian has cortical visual impairment ( CVI) so she sees differently than you and I do.) we are making sure she’s still seeing ok , doesn’t need glasses ( because we all know those won’t stay on 😵‍💫)
And Lastly a quick follow up with the movement disorders clinic in neurology.
A lady waiting in the elevator asked if there was a cat in the elevator due to Rian’s crying ( because she didn’t see Rian in the corner …. Kinda wanted to 👊🏻her 😤. Just. RUDE. We immediately hit the button to shut the elevator doors .
I do have to say though while we ( momma and gramps were quickly inhaling dinner ) a very nice family with a younger daughter who I was told had a tumor on her brain and seizures from Atlanta , came over to us to say hello and introduce themselves because they saw Rian’s gtube bag ( and the fact she was crying and I had to speed walk her while waiting for food ) and wanted to see if saying hi would help her. It did ! Rian reached her hand out to touch the mother’s arm and just left it there . It’s like she knew this family had a special kiddo too 🥹❤️

Thanks everyone for following Rian’s journey . I’m trying to keep up with social media. I can’t keep up with the continuous change of how to post and all of the fancy crap people are doing . I gotta medically complex kid to care for , and business to run. I’m not a film producer , content creator , and whatever the hell else is going on with Instagram. I’m just a mom over here trying to advocate and educate .
