Our featured Cam Norte festival this March will take us to the vibrant tones of Capalonga's Palong Festival. Named after the rooster comb flower known by the locals as "Palong Manok" where the name of the municipality originated, it is celebrated every 13th of May coinciding with the feast of the Black Nazarene of Capalonga. The town is famous as a pilgrimage destination and the festival is done to highlight the local folk's thanksgiving to their miraculous patron. Let us hope and pray to the Poong Nazareno that we may continue to celebrate our grand festivities as soon as our safety is secured in the near future.

Holy Week is nearing thus, walks you around the 411 year-old Parroquia de San Pedro Apostol found right at the town center of Vinzons, Camarines Norte. Mellow down from the striking heat and take a moment of prayer inside one of Bicol's oldest churches. Deep breaths, calm sighs of prayers rests with the antiquity of the Baroque architecture that was once burned into flames in 2012 but with massive coordination and efforts of the church, parishioners and experts, the original design of the parish was restored and was re-opened in the year 2015. Debris from the fire were collected and repurposed, and parish church of Vinzons remains to stand a tableau of the town's resilience through time.
