A passenger’s documents can now be the reason an otherwise ready flight does not move.
In August, GACA instructed commercial and private airlines operating at Saudi airports to verify the latest entry, exit and transit requirements before boarding.
The check should cover Saudi Arabia, the passenger’s final destination and every transit country included in the itinerary.
For operators and charter teams, document verification should form part of the pre-departure checklist alongside permits, slots and handling—not be left until the passenger reaches the aircraft.
Before positioning the crew or releasing the flight, reconfirm:
✓ Passport validity
✓ Visas and entry requirements
✓ Transit permissions
✓ Final-destination requirements
