• The 60-day stay permit is about to be abolished and will revert to a 30-day stay.

Status update "Pending Announcement": Information indicates that the Cabinet resolution is not immediately effective. It must be published in the Royal Gazette before it takes effect, which will be 15 days later.
Therefore, "Act quickly before the new regulations take effect."

✈️ 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: 𝟵𝟯 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝟲𝟬-𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆

Thailand has revealed the revised visa categories that will apply after the planned cancellation of the 60-day visa-free entry scheme.

Under the changes, travellers from 93 countries and territories will no longer be eligible for the 60-day visa exemption, with most set to return to 30-day visa-free stays.

The revised categories include:

✅ 30-day visa exemption: 54 countries/territories
✅ 15-day visa exemption: 3 countries/territories
✅ Visa on Arrival: 4 countries/territories
✅ Bilateral agreements: 90 days, 30 days, or 14 days depending on the country

The change has been approved by Cabinet but is not yet in force. It must first be published in the Royal Gazette and then is expected to come into effect 15 days after ‌that.

Travellers planning to visit Thailand are advised to check the latest entry rules before booking or travelling, particularly if they had been relying on the 60-day visa-free stay.
