Albuquerque Glide Tours

Albuquerque Glide Tours This page is for discussions and suggestions about the Personal Transporter tours offered by Albuquerque Glide Tours. We look forward to gliding with you!

Welcome to Albuquerque Glide Tours! Our tours offer exciting, fun, safe and unforgettable experiences as we glide around Albuquerque on Roboscooter Personal Transporters (many people incorrectly call any Personal Transporter a Segway™, but that is a protected trademark). Explore the highlights of Albuquerque on your eco-friendly Roboscooter more easily than by other modes of transportation, in a fraction of the time. It's also a great way to avoid the physical effects of our high altitude of around 5000 feet (1500 meters). Your tour guide will stop to point out the history and highlights along the way as you glide pedestrian-style. Let your top-of-the-line Roboscooter Personal Transporter do the work for you, while you relax, take in all the sights, and enjoy the experience. All tours begin with thorough training by an expert guide. You'll be amazed how easy it is to ride within a very short period of time. Additionally, all the tours are kept small, a maximum of six in a group, to allow for a more personal experience. We invite you to Come Glide WIth Us as we share our love of this unique part of the Southwest that we call home - Albuquerque!

Due to the San Felipe de Neri Fiesta, we will not be able to offer tours this Saturday, June 2, and Sunday, June 3. If you are in ABQ this weekend, check it out. We wish all the Fiesta participants well.

For safety's sake, we will not be offering the afternoon tour on Sunday, December 31. Happy New Year to all!

We will not be offering tours on Thursday, November 23. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

With the end of Daylight Savings Time and the onset of shorter days, we are now operating on our Winter hours. Our tours now run at 11 AM and 2 PM - call for details.

Unfortunately, we have had another death in the family and will need to be closed from Thursday, July 27, through Monday, July 31. We will resume normal operations on Tuesday, August 1.

We are considering adding Early Bird (7 AM) and/or Sundowner (7 PM) tours to our schedule while the daylight is long. We are also considering adding a tour of the North Valley with essentially no stops or narration, for people who just want to ride. What does everyone think of these ideas?

Due to family emergencies, we will be closed from Monday, May 8 through Monday, May 15. We will resume normal operation on Tuesday, May 16.

We will not be doing tours today, due to the hail. We plan to run tours again tomorrow.

We are experiencing strong, gusty winds today (Friday, March 24, 2017). We will not be able to run tours unless the winds die down. Please call if you want to do a tour, and we will look at the conditions.

We will not be running our tours this afternoon, Wednesday, March 22, 2017, because of high winds. Safety first!

With the advent of Daylight Savings Time, we are now back on our Summer schedule: Three tours daily, leaving at 10, 1, and 4.

We will be going on our winter schedule effective today, Monday, November 7, 2016. During the time that we are off Daylight Savings Time (now until Sunday, March 12), we will offer the Old Town History Tour at 10 AM every day, the Historic Homes Tour on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 1 PM; and the Food, Facts, and Fun Tour at 1 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We are doing this because of the lack of daylight late in the day; sightseeing doesn't work very well in the dark.

As always, if you would like to schedule something outside of our regular schedule, require special accommodations, or just have a question, feel free to call us at (505)967-7705.

Come Glide With Us!

We are proud to announce that we have teamed up with Monroe's New Mexican Restaurant, an Albuquerque institution for more than 50 years, to offer an exciting food and fun tour in Albuquerque. We start out with a gliding tour that contrasts Old Town and New Town Albuquerque, pointing out the contrasts that make our city such a unique blend of cultures. Then, we stop at Monroe’s for a New Mexican sampler featuring carne adovada, calavacitas, green chile stew, and sopaipillas. (Vegetarian and gluten- or lactose-free options are available with advance notice.) This ain’t tourist food, folks – this is REAL New Mexican food, cooked by locals, for locals. Come Glide – and EAT – With Us!

We have added a new tour to our menu - Albuquerque Historic Homes. There is much more to Albuquerque than balloons and Breaking Bad. We have an amazing diversity of homes ranging in age from modern to over 200 years old. Have fun gliding along on your top-of-the-line Roboscooter Personal Transporter as you see and hear about some of the oldest and most interesting homes and neighborhoods in both Old Town and New Town. The tour lasts about 1½ hours and visits over a dozen historic homes and buildings.

This page is for conversations about Albuquerque Glide Tours. We offer Personal Transporter tours in Old Town and the Bosque. We welcome your discussions and look forward to gliding with you!
