"The MDOT MTA police every year for the past 19 years have played Santa to over 200 families from the community we serve. This year with COVID-19 was challenging to accomplish but did not stop us from making Christmas special for seven families. Through donations from the officers, gifts, and food were purchased and delivered by our very own Santa Claus. May you have the merriest of holidays, from our MDOT MTA Family to yours!" Congratulations to MDOT MTA’s first-quarter Superstar winner from Light RailLink Division Gregory Downing. Gregory joined MDOT MTA 46 years ago and is one of the original Light RailLink operators. He started his career driving buses out of the Kirk Bus division, moved on to the Eastern Division, and later to Northwest Bus Division before joining the Light RailLink Division in 1992.
