Sometimes you gotta be a tourist in your own town. 💕
Step 1: Start early, the brunch crowd waits for no one 👀
We picked up a golf cart at 10 AM, made a Mural loop and worked up an appetite doing the illusions at the Hattiesburg Pocket Museum. (Pro-tip 👉 EXCELLENT spots for holiday cards)
We had reservations at Buschman Street Café (critical for peak times and weekends) and Spencer absolutely knocked it out of the park with personalized drink and menu options for our littlest guests . Everyone felt the royal treatment, hands down the best service in the city.
Step 2: Stay hydrated.
We decided to get our water topically at Serengeti Springs. Highly recommend a cabana, they do have large ones for a party but even the regular family sized ones are really well priced splurge for a staycation, less than $100 a day and came with very attentive servers, a safe and ice chest.
It was busy but we had no trouble getting tubes for the lazy river, the water was so clear and clean, very short wait times if any for slides. We give the waterpark experience 10/10 for sure.
****Full disclosure***** there is A LOT more water in that bucket than it looks like from Hardy Street.
Step 3: Dessert is mandatory.
We started winding it up around 5 PM but had to swing by Pop&Co. for a scoop and a snack. The popcorn made for the perfect afternoon golf cart ride to dry off and relax after a full day.
It’s not about the golf cart ride, it’s about the memories. (And the skipped parking hassle)
