🚨 Parents, we need your help keeping your kids safe.
When that big yellow bus pulls up, your child should already be at the bus stop, ready and paying attention—not walking out the front door, coming off the porch, or looking down at a phone.
We can’t tell you how many times a bus will pull up and a student is standing there with their face buried in a phone, completely unaware of what’s happening around them.
As bus drivers, we do everything we can to keep your children safe. We watch mirrors. We watch traffic. We watch the road. We watch for cars that may not stop. We watch students getting on and off.
But we need your child watching too.
They need to be aware of the bus, the traffic, the signals, and their surroundings—especially when crossing the road.
And please have them at the stop before the bus arrives. A school bus stopping in the roadway is not the time for a child to come running from the house while everyone waits.
Safety is a team effort.
We will do everything in our power to get your babies to school and back home safely. ❤️ But we need them to do their part too.
Be at the stop. Put the phone down. Pay attention. Stay alert.
