When you roll to save 18 from the chain and the ring.
Your first stop saves seven puppies that will never be bred and never be fought and six adults will never be bred again, and never be fought again.
The second location save six more adults never to be fought or bred again.
The third location saves 14 adults that will never be bred or fought again …
but deeper in the woods is a horror of 21 adults and 3 puppies that are now safe.
It’s been a long day and some are still working.

Can you help in any way?

Today is the race against the clock. For the next 36 hours we are on a race to save lives. What does that look like? It looks like truck loads of straw and dog houses. Generators for rural shelters. Heaters for shelter offices to stage . Staging safe houses and stalls to remove animals from crisis this weekend . It means meeting after meeting with shelter teams and our officers we work with regularly to plan. Rescue isn’t just a purpose it’s a promise . It’s we will be there when it gets hard . The storm rolls in so do we. Am I tired ? Hell. Yes. We just came off 3 large scale felony cases that took every space we had . It’s been a mountain every single day. Our fosters are full, our funds are low… but it didn’t change the purpose or the promise. We have done it over and over so I’m betting on us again. This family never bows out quietly when times get hard. We dig. So today I’m asking you dig with me. Every Friday it’s five Friday and we use those funds to run for the week.. today it’s a little deeper . We need every single dollar we can find. You call, we respond.

can’t or won’t? . We are at max capacity. Our medical fund is on the floor. Our bodies are tired. Our hearts are ragged today. Rescue isn’t meant to be convenient . Definition means save from distressing or dangerous situation… so that’s what we are doing. If I ever become the rescue that looks the other way while shrugging and saying can’t I will shut it down. They didn’t choose this hell and they deserve better .. so inconvenient or not we run. This family vowed to be the ones who will run into dark and know its hell and stay until there’s a shred of light. So today we are in the Dark. We will break our hearts for theirs to be restored. HELPING ABUSED CHILDREN AND ADULTS BY REPORTING ANIMAL CRUELTY

Abusers of children, elders and vulnerable individuals won’t likely boast about or admit to their abusive behaviors. However, law enforcement studies have indicated that these abusive individuals often admit to…even brag about…their maltreatment and abuse of animals.

Perhaps these abusers don’t believe that animal abuse is a serious matter or, perhaps, they believe that their local law enforcement agencies have little interest in pursuing animal abusers. Whatever the reason, we need to pay attention to any and all admissions of animal cruelty.

Additionally, those working with young children should be alert to reports, from these children, about frequently “disappearing” pets and/or repeated animal deaths in their home.

While pets do wander off and many sadly die, and while animals do get injured from time to time, repeated instances of missing, deceased and/or injured pets could be an indication of existing abuse of family members and may serve as a warning of future violence.

It is critically important that community members report concerns regarding any type of abuse and recognize the link between animal cruelty and family violence.
