Grab and Go Gaming is now Hiring πŸ‘

OK so who here has a license, can drive a truck and trailer, can spend 2-3 weeks on the road at a time and is looking for a job?

Looking for 2-4 drivers preferably 2 on east coast and 2 on west coast in order to expedite turnaround times as well as minimize everyone'stime away from home. I've been rolling hard the past 4 years and it's time to expand to 1 or 2 more trucks.

Before hiring drivers from outside the community I figured I'd throw it out there since so many have said they would love to do what I do and see what I see, so here's your chance.

Been busy these past 2 weeks. Big Bertha is finally up and running after we installed the new transmission and discovered the reason it cracked the last 2 transmissions was bad u-joints 🀦 $43 was the total and took a whopping 1 hour for us to replace them. Have put 3k miles on her and towed our first trailer load of inventory down to Texas with ZERO problems (if you read that then please knock on wood lol) she shifts like silk and gets 12.5 mpg.

We are almost completely done with the motor swap in Ole Heavy. Couple more things to button up and we will be putting the cab back on today. The Donor truck we won at auction was a fleet truck for Louisville metro and was a Salt truck. Mechanic we talked to at the inspection said they had just installed $5400 in parts in the truck but nobody would know that unless they went in the 2 hour inspection window which only me and Charlie were the only ones to go in person. We also hooked up my jumper pack and the truck only had 95k miles on it. Yeah was a good idea to go in person because it was covered in rust but we didn't need the body just the motor. We ended up winning it for $4100. A bare block was $7k with over 110k miles was the cheapest we found. We have tons of spare parts and the stuff we don't need we should be able to sell off and break even. While we had the motor out Charlie went ahead and studded the motor and is officially bulletproof now.

Next up after this is moving the home base down to Texas and then starting the work on the trailers.

Yall are awesome and even tho everyone knows I'm not going back out till end of June still have order requests coming in daily. Some are not in a rush so we can take the order but there are a few that needed sooner and I recommended a few good options.

The next 48-72 hours stop in KY is to reload the items heading to the northeast and high five the wife, kiss the kids, and swap out laundry and back on the road. First stop from the house is Ohio.

Just finished up the last stop yesterday on the West Coast. On our way to Denver then Iowa and Minnesota hopefully tomorrow night. After that we have Wisconsin Illinois quick stop at home (to grab the remaining north east items) and then Ohio, Pennsylvania up north to New York and Maine After that then its all the way down the coast to Miami. After Miami we should pretty much be completely cleared of all orders. Only delay from here on out (everyone please find something wooden and give it a quick knock πŸ˜†) is we are going to be stopping wherever we are the night of the 7th so I can get home in time for Victoria's 1st Birthday. If we aren't done by then we will head out to finish off the last few deliveries on the 11th and will for sure be completely done by the 15th πŸ‘

Well quick update. All parts for the F350 are in and should be back on the road Tuesday evening. Have a lot of catching up to do. Thank you all for being so patient with the delays. We will be giving rough eta calls when we are 48 hours out from the pick ups or deliveries. Glad we are able to get back out this week and just in time to enjoy these awesome new fuel prices πŸ‘ πŸ˜†

02/26/2022

Well, last week the F350 started running rough and we decided to pull off in New Jersey to check it out. We checked it out and was blowing smoke, so we made the call to limp it home to Kentucky to our mechanic to get it thoroughly checked out. We hoped to be in and out to continue our route, but Old Heavy had a bigger problem than we anticipated: what was originally thought to be a broken injector turned out to be a thrown rod.

That was just the beginning of our problems.

On our way home the Ford dealership working on Big Bertha said that the transmission that was being rebuilt (again) was done and that she was ready to go. All they asked was that we run her around for the weekend before heading back out to make sure everything was in working order. So with 300 miles without issues, we shoot over to pick up a hitch for the black trailer (you know that one that is supposed to be retired but the show must go on, right?) Now all I can say is "When it rains it pours..... transmission fluid"πŸ€¦πŸ‘ŽFord has apologized for the problem and has ordered us a NEW transmission, which should be arriving in a few days and going straight into the Excursion.

Parts for the F350 are on their way to Charlie Peppers'. He was about as sick as I was when he saw Bertha bleeding out, so he was trying to crank out the other 2 trucks in his shop to get us in and out by the middle of next week. Normally he'd give us priority when we come in for anything and pushes everyone else back, but I stopped him because one of the trucks that he is working on is a lawn care guy whose business is also on hold waiting for his truck and the other is a local mom and pop pest control who also is depending on their truck. I would have loved being back on the road today or even Sunday however, these aren't big businesses, these are people that live job to job so it just wouldn't feel right to me pushing them back another 3 days.
Calls and emails are currently being made to inform everyone of the delay but as of now, we are going to be running in one truck by the end of the following week.

When Grab and Go Gaming started, I had taken extreme pride in the quality and timely transport of every order we had coming in.
But unfortunately, between last March's first breakdown and other shipping companies being shut down, we've had a massive wave of orders that have come in, which we are thankful for, it's been nonstop catch-up. Things had turned back around for us in November and we finally caught up on most of our orders, but on December 1st I ended up in the hospital and was down for a month and a half. We had finally caught up and bam more truck problems.

As of right, we are going to put a pause on new orders coming in and fulfill all of the commitments we have on the books. Once everything is back to being caught up 100% we will go back to posting upcoming routes 2-3 weeks ahead of time so that everyone has an understanding of when we should be arriving a month ahead of time, instead of being stretched too thin and zig-zagging back and forth everywhere wasting fuel and time
trying to keep up with every order that comes in.

Our overall plan is when we start back up around May, we will have two trucks running, one on each coast, and be running out of a centralized location in Texas. Stay tuned for more.

Again we are really sorry for all the delays that we have been dealing with, apparently, I'm not only running myself to death but I've officially run the trucks to death as well trying to catch up.

It's been a journey, to say the least, and I can't wait to get back on the road and being able to chat and hang out with everyone instead of rushing in and out to get to the next spot. Which entails fewer 3 am pickups and deliveries πŸ˜† (maybe not completely πŸ€” 🀫) You guys are amazing, and I love that the community has trusted me with the transporting of so many amazingly rare items and welcoming me into their homes and their amazing collections. All I want is to get the trucks, trailers, but most importantly, the quality and timely shipping back up to our standards.

You guys are amazing and as always, Happy Hunting!! πŸ‘

Finally Alan has managed to Jump through all the hoops since they changed the travel restrictions to 2 vaccine shots to enter the USA (2nd must be 14 days old as well πŸ™„) and of course this update came while he was in Mexico visiting his Family for the holidays. 2 rescheduled flights a wasted bus ticket (cause airline led us to believe 2 shots were only required to flyπŸ™„πŸ€₯) and finally 3rd times a charm. ALAN CAN FLY! But ait, what's this? The new delayed departure flight lands in Houston 6 minutes AFTER the connecting flight takes off to Louisville? Of course it does πŸ˜† but you know me can't control it? Can't change it? Just gotta roll with it. We hit the road as soon as he landed at midnight. I've been doing what I found in between each reschedule while staying in range waiting for the "I made it on the plane, I'm on my way " but we are back in gear and in full swing since coming to a hault in Albuquerque.

We have finally kicked off the Northeast route (yeah excited to see the forecast πŸ˜†) we are pretty much booked out but we are heading directly into the Texas/California route. There are still spots available for that route which we will post a preview in a few days. Haven't posted an upcoming route in awhile but it's back by popular demand.

Also a massive flood of selfies are coming.

Yall are Awesome and I greatly appreciated all the understanding and support when I went down December 1st and I am happy to announce we are back at 100% and even have Big Bertha ready on standby just in case. But we took the month of January and went over the trucks and trailer with a fine tooth comb. πŸ‘ so Happy Hunting!!
