January 10 - Stevedoring company Portus has handled a diesel-powered generator, weighing approximately 331,000 lbs (150.1 tonnes), at the Port of Jacksonville (Jaxport), on behalf of UTC Overseas.

Yesterday, Florida Governor Rick Scott and Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry visited our Portus facility on Blount Island to witness the relief efforts going to Puerto Rico to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.

DPH and Patriot have merged into one company with John Fenton as the CEO (current CEO of Patriot Rail Company). The combination of DPH with the Patriot portfolio provides an exceptional opportunity for us to provide a coordinated and seamless suite of customized transportation and logistics solutions to rail and port customers. "We are thrilled to add DPH to the Patriot team and look forward to the options we will present to the marketplace." said John Fenton. Did you know?

JAXPORT is one of 17 U.S. Strategic Seaports on-call to move military cargo for national defense, foreign humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.

In 2015, skilled workers with Diversified Port Holdings moved two next generation U.S. Navy patrol boats through our Blount Island terminal.

The boats arrived at JAXPORT from the West Coast and were lifted off of a ship and then lowered into the St. Johns River. From there, they sailed to Naval Station Mayport before being sent to Virginia.

Diversified Port Holdings successfully launched its 2017 Inaugural Corporate Internship Program in June. Two students from Texas A&M University Galveston Campus (Pictured left to right: Renee Gallegos and Kylie Reinert) are wrapping up their summer after each spent a total of eight weeks at DPH's Blount Island facility and Talleyrand facility.
