Remember the oak tree that was next to the road in Dilly, Oregon that fell over? I went back there yesterday and cut/split it up for the customer into fire pit firewood. I stacked the edge of the pile so that it did not creep out into the gate access.

I got there and realized that I forgot a board to use as a ramp to roll some pieces up to the splitter, until I thought why not use my tailgate?! It is a 2x10 of oak! Also notice the “kick stand” I have on my splitter, I have rolled a piece up there that caused the splitter to go from horizontal to vertical!!

See the blue stain in the wood? That means there in metal in there. This tree was beside the road and hit many times by cars! I was looking for a VIN tag, but I found the big nails! Sometimes the truck cannot be close enough to the place where the customer wants the boulders, due to trees or sidewalk distance. But when the are looking at 200 to 400 pounds boulders I can simply roll them into place. You see, in getting in my knees in the dirt, my back is not bent over like I was standing! I can get better leverage on the boulder and roll it! This last boulder I picked out because it has a natural bird bath in it! I delivered one like it last year, they loved it, because ever times the sprinklers operate, the bird bath gets fill the birds come to it to enjoy the water!!!

I was asked if I could move pallets of stones. Garden Design PDX, Anne Koehler ask me to move them, 3 pallets from one house to another, no problem! Kept them off the neighbors grass, too.
