A little St. Patrick’s Day mischief to start the morning… 🍀✨

We spotted a leprechaun attempting to sneak away and take one of our buses for a spin! 🚍💚

Thankfully, leprechaun training was completed last week—so our passengers remain in safe hands while still getting to enjoy a bit of festive magic along the way.

We were glad to attend the Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations Transit Interest Group Q1 webinar, “Bridging the Distance: Rural Transit Strategies.”

The session focused on how MPOs and transit providers can work together to address mobility challenges in suburban and rural communities and improve access to essential services. Stone Pinson presented on behalf of RMS, sharing perspectives from rural transit operations and highlighting the important role coordination and planning play in connecting people to the places they need to go.

Thank you to AMPO for hosting a valuable discussion on strengthening transportation access in communities of all sizes.

We recently made the decision to transition from online CPR and First Aid training to in person, hands on sessions.

While online training offers convenience, we believe there is no substitute for real, practical experience. Hands on training gives our team the opportunity to practice skills in real time, ask questions, engage in discussion, and collaborate with one another in a meaningful way.

The feedback from our employees has been very positive. They have shared that the interactive format not only builds confidence, but also helps them feel truly prepared to respond in real life situations.

We are proud to invest in training that prioritizes effectiveness, engagement, and safety, and we look forward to continuing this approach.

We got a few photos from our most recent wheelchair training. Our Risk Manager, Heather Sadler Griffin, leads weekly training sessions for both new and experienced drivers. Whether someone is learning for the first time or has been with us for 15 years, ongoing training is essential.

This hands on training is critical to the safety of our passengers and our drivers. Each driver practices proper wheelchair securement, has the opportunity to ask questions, and gains confidence in transporting our wheelchair clients. Doing things the right way matters on every trip.

We officially have shuttles up and running for our new contract in Memphis, Tennessee and we’re thrilled for the opportunity to continue expanding our operations and serving more riders.
