On the afternoon of 12/31 at approximately 3:00 pm one of our dump trucks was traveling west on hwy 16 near mile marker 3 in Butts County near Jackson, Ga. A flatbed pickup truck was sitting in the roadway stopped and talking to the mail carrier. To avoid a collision our driver took evasive action and ultimately lost control of the vehicle flipping it into its side in the middle of hwy 16. The driver sustained some severe injuries including a broken femur that required surgery. He’s doing ok now but he has a long way to go. The witness that called 911 was able to take a partial photo of the stopped vehicle before it left the scene of the accident before authorities arrived. If anyone recognizes the vehicle or has other information on the incident please let us know. In the left foreground is the vehicle in question.

And that’s a wrap! The timber business was the job I loved growing up and always wanted to do again. It’ll always hold a special place in my heart but the world I worked in as a young man is not the world today. Thank you again everyone who helped along the way.
