I served in the military for four years, married a soldier, and have moved all over the globe living the military lifestyle the last 20 years. My husband retired after 23 years of service in the Army. We are a VERY patriotic family and love our military friends and families SO much! I have worked with children from the ages of 3-13 on military installations, and also tutored college students in fo

reign languages. Owning four fur balls...three cats and a dog keeps life quite entertaining. Never a dull moment around here. I love wine, Nutella, chocolate, traveling, and knitting! :)
This page focuses on my past, and current works with an added benefit of a blog. I do NOT sell directly from this page. My work will be featured in a local boutique named, The Look, located in Olney, MD and in the near future on Etsy. I started knitting in the summer of 2012. My knitting instructor who is the owner of "Knitfittery", made knitting easy and enjoyable for me. So much so, I haven't stopped knitting since. I would consider my self a basic knitter with a lot of room to grow. I design my works on graph paper as it is easier for me to visualize where I want to go. I do not buy or download other's patterns because of the copyright issues. I do not sell my patterns, even though I know that is a quicker way to profit in this craft. I like the idea of the unique and intimate feeling of a small business. Perhaps one day I will change my mind. This page will feature pictures of my work and updates about what will be going to the boutique or onto Etsy. (one perk to those who are interested in purchasing these hand knitted creations) Blogging, giveaways, and funny stories will also be incorporated on the page. Have yarn? Have some cardboard you can recycle? Quick easy project. No needles needed! Mine are going to go in a dough bowl on my dining room table. I might also make a garland too. We’ll see...

I’ve had zero desire to knit as of late, I know, horrible. However, I think because snow is due here tomorrow for the first time, it has motivated me to get the needles out. A wide seed stitch scarf in the making? 🧶🧣

Nothing fancy to see here, just a simple hat and garter stitch scarf I knitted over Labor Day week with a fevering hubby. Had to knock the rust off the needles. Not going to lie, I was struggling a little with my slipknot just to get started. Lol

Picked up the needles for the first time in months last night. Not sure what I’m doing, but I kind of like it. Looks cool sideways too. I’ll post once I’m finished. Let’s hope this isn’t an entire 3 month winter project. Lol

My latest knitted project was a baby blanket and bonnet for a friend of mine. Just gifted them at the baby shower this weekend. So soft and warm for the colder weather ahead.
