Pricing: $5325 per person, double occupancy per room. Add $1000 if not sharing a room. Guests will be matched with a same-gender roommate if a particular person is not specifically requested in advance. A $300 deposit is required to secure your reservation. Deposits can be made at any time to secure your spot. Your deposit applies towards the total balance owed and is non-refundable if you cancel unless for a reason covered under optional trip insurance, purchased separately on your own (see TravelEx http://www.travelex-insurance.com/ for an example). All other payments are non-refundable, except in the case of reasons covered by optional insurance. You can call or speak with Paul Stonebridge at 813-391-0668 to establish your initial account and the IACE office to make the deposit payment and subsequent payments by your choice of method after that time. Payments can be made by cash, check, money order, or credit card (Visa or Mastercard). Credit card payments will be subject to a 4% convenience fee. Cash payments must be made in person at the IACE office in Orlando. Check and money order payments may be made in person or by mail. Credit card payments can be made over the phone. You must bring your account to $1200 total paid within 120 days of booking, to $2700 total paid by December 31, 2019, and to $4200 total paid by March 15, 2020. Full payment must be completed by June 1, 2020. Spending Money: The package price does not include spending money. Guests will need extra money for lunches, dinners, subway (non-rail) fees, entrance fees, optional activities not mentioned as included, and souvenir shopping. A good estimate would be $90 to $100 per day, or roughly $1100-1400 minimum, based on an exchange rate of 108 yen for $1.00 (as of 9/8/17). There are no significant exchange fees in Japan, so exchanging money does not detract much from spending potential. As a cash society, credit cards are not yet widely accepted in Japan and ATMs often do not recognize American debit cards, so traveler’s checks or cash are recommended for bringing spending money into the country. Room Assignments: Prices are based on double-occupancy, so you will have an option of choosing your room mate or having one (of the same gender) assigned to you.
