In 1951, Gene Byers founded Byers Wrecker Service. He was well-known in the small town of Rochester, MI. In 1976, when his son Bill Byers turned 16, Bill began towing, too. In 1994, he took over the business from his dad. He grew the business from a six-truck operation to what it is now three locations and more than 30 trucks. Bill has always been very dedicated to ongoing training, education, and safety procedures to ensure his employees are the best in skilled service—no matter how challenging the recovery or tow.
