What a great week to be riding a bike across the state of Ohio. I mean, it's been a dandy! From a weather standpoint, this past week was about as good as it gets. The shuttle sure enjoys it too as it's quite uplifting and brings smiles all around as folks are excited to just send-it! This was one of the best shuttle weeks we have had for a while! Great clients with a positive attitude and friendly disposition make this job fun!
Even that pesky Little Miami construction zone didn't dampen the fun for most as crews were allowing passage if you know the secret code 🙂 to enable squeaking past. It is a bit of a dance to get through there but better than enduring the detours. The shuttle spent quite a bit of time in that zone over the last days investigating/interviewing and I can tell you that any detour options would be rough for anyone. Heck, going up is not nearly as perilous as going down! I ran the shuttle van in low gear creeping down either side. The good news is the project is wrapping up soon, however, when the paving gets going, (possible this coming week) there may be some that have to endure the dreadful detours. It's an interesting adventure down there and that is for sure.
Everything is drying out quite nicely around here and rivers and streams are getting back in shape very well. The Ohio is still mucky/skuzzy, and high but everything else is looking good.
The tree/grass pollen is quite high as my nose will testify (Maybe yours too) and the sneezing fits are part of this annual aggravation but the passing front tomorrow (north) may wash some of it down. I hope so as it's only good for the tissue makers. I think some frontal activity is in-store for the southern region as well this week.
Hey- The purple people bridge opened up this week and that's kind of cool if you are enjoying the riverfront region while visiting. We look forward to having the Licking River bridge back maybe next year? I hope so anyway as we miss that crossing.
Cheers to another week and many more to come! Just send it!
