Just minding my business finishing my route this morning and ran into this beautiful blue water. Said to myself, I'm in the middle of Texas, there is no ocean here! It's the Sam Rayburn Reservoir. 24 years in Texas, have never seen this before!

What we have learned is transportation has a number of different channels (lanes). In our first few months, we have gotten involved in as many as we can:

OTR - Over the Road
Regional - 500 miles or less
Local - 100-150 miles
Dedicated Freight
Middle Mile -Warehouse to Store
Final Mile - Store to Consumer

Our relationships with key organizations have been critical to our sustained growth as well:

Famous Movers (Dallas, Houston)
Hilton Furniture (Houston)

After being in the field, here are some takeaways:

1) There is a ton of opportunity, with that also a ton of competition
2) You must have a mission/vision/plan for your organization
3) Reliability, Consistency and Excellent Service are universal success principles but definitely critical in this business
