Quality Wash Solutions (QWS®) is proud to recognize Frank Cavaliero, Manager - Regional, at Tank Wash 205 in Rahway, NJ.

Since joining QWS in March, Frank has helped launch QWS’s new tank wash facility in Rahway and supported the operations of the recently opened Quality Depot Solutions (QDS®) location in Newark, NJ. He is focused on staffing, facility readiness, and growth initiatives in the Northeast. Frank brings decades of leadership experience in intermodal operations, and has embraced the opportunity to grow within a new industry while helping build and strengthen operations across the region.

When asked what he values most about being part of the QC team, Frank shared that QC’s culture empowers employees to grow, contribute ideas, and make an impact on logistics across North America.

Neil Bartley, Sr. VP - Quality Carriers and QWS, shared, “Frank took his experience of operational excellence, and quickly transformed QWS's Rahway site to a safe and fully operational tank wash. He currently leads a massive capacity expansion project for QWS Rahway, which will significantly bolster QC's and QDS's positions in New Jersey. In addition to his QWS responsibility, Frank oversees the QDS Little Ferry operation and the entire Little Ferry facility in order to manage all tenants for the CSX owned property. Best of all, Frank is a fantastic individual and a pleasure to work with.”

QC is proud to spotlight Ami Kelley, Sr. Manager - HOS Compliance at our corporate office in Tampa, FL, and celebrate her 15 years of dedication, growth, and expertise with the company. What an incredible milestone anniversary!

Ami’s connection to transportation started long before her career at QC. Her father was a truck driver, and she was encouraged by her cousin to apply at QC. Fifteen years later, Ami has grown alongside the company. She led the team that began the implementation of ELDs across our fleet, and her role has evolved into a key part of HOS compliance.

Ami shared, “I enjoy helping our drivers and field teams by teaching them new processes, identifying issues, and showing them how to correct them. Along the way, I've become the go-to person for Hours of Service and anything to do with our ELD Provider, so many people around QC know me as the "ELOG Guru."”

Quality Carriers® is proud to spotlight Melissa Bunt, Administrator - Tank Wash in Tampa, FL, whose career in transportation spans more than two decades and several different areas of the industry.

Melissa began her transportation career in New York as a driver before moving into the money room, operations, maintenance, and ultimately payroll, where she processed payroll for more than 850 union and non-union employees. After discovering Quality Carriers, she was drawn to the opportunity to continue her career in transportation while learning a new side of the industry. Today, Melissa supports 14 terminals through invoicing and P&L oversight.

Melissa shared, “I am proud to be part of the Quality Carriers corporate operations team and am excited about new opportunities within the company. It’s rewarding to work with the different departments and learn more about what services we offer.”

When one of our own needed help, our team stepped up.

Following the severe storms that impacted Northern Illinois and Northwestern Indiana, Terminal 181’s Load Planner Kimberly Szymanski was left without power while also caring for her elderly parents. Kim’s Terminal Manager, Tiffany Alsbury, reached out to Regional Maintenance Manager Don Theunnissen to see if QRS could assist. Don contacted QRS Shop 393 in Bedford Park and let them know about Kim’s situation. After their shift, Shop Foreman Stephen Kucinski, Lead Mechanic Thomas Cancino, and Mechanic 3 Marty Brady were able to source, deliver, and set up a generator at Kim’s home to provide power for Kim and her parents.

Tiffany shared, “I could not be prouder to work alongside people who are compassionate, understanding, resourceful, and willing to give their own time to help a coworker and her family during an incredibly difficult situation. This is what teamwork looks like. This is what leadership looks like. And, to me, this is QC at its very best.”

Thank you to Don, Stephen, Thomas, and Marty for going above and beyond to support a fellow employee and her family. This is what QC is all about: taking care of our people.
