🅰️🐘FREE BAMA BOUND LINENS🐘🅰️

For Bama Bound, students have the option to spend the night in the dorms, which means bringing sheets, a pillow, blanket, towel, and other essentials. If you’re flying in, short on packing space, or simply don’t want to bring all of those items for a one-night stay, I’d love to help.

I have complimentary dorm linen bags available for Bama Bound families to use.

Each bag will be waiting for you at Ridgecrest South and includes everything needed for a comfortable overnight stay:

• Twin XL sheets
• Pillow & pillow protector
• Blanket
• Bath towel
• 2 Washcloths
• Bottled water
• A few snacks

Everything is packed in a small duffel bag with instructions included.

There is NO CATCH and NO FEE. As a local mom who has helped countless UA families over the years, this is simply my way of welcoming new students to Tuscaloosa and helping make Bama Bound a little less stressful.

As this school year comes to an end, I just want to say THANK YOU. ❤️

Six years ago, I started this business with a simple goal ~ safely helping University of Alabama students and sometimes parents, get to and from Tuscaloosa – Birmingham Airport. What I never expected was how much you ALL would come to mean to me.

Because of you, I get to wake up every day and do what truly feels like a dream job. I have the privilege of driving some of the most incredible students, having conversations with them, hearing about their lives, celebrating their accomplishments, encouraging them through hard days, and getting to be a “Bama Mom” away from home. That part of this job has been the greatest blessing 🥰

To every student and every parent who has trusted me over the years, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. YOU are the reason this business has grown the way it has.

As many of you know, the business has continued to grow tremendously, and with that growth comes the need for some changes to help things run more efficiently. Right now, I wear ALL the hats - driver, scheduler, accountant, bookkeeper, banker, dispatcher, customer service representative, and everything in between. 😅

Because of that, I’ve decided that beginning this fall, I will officially move to a website-based booking system!

You’ll be able to:
• Book directly online
• Select your pickup time
• Make payments securely
• Receive trip details more efficiently
• Avoid waiting for me to manually text scheduling information during busy school breaks

This change will allow me to continue doing what I love most - safely driving and caring for your students, while making the entire process smoother for everyone involved.

Spring Break travel is here! ✈️

Over the next several days I’ll be driving a lot of your students to Birmingham–Shuttlesworth International Airport. I know there’s been a lot of media coverage lately about long TSA lines and airport delays, so I wanted to share what I’m actually seeing in real time.

As of today, Birmingham is completely normal — business as usual.

From the time I drop students off at the terminal, it’s typically 10 minutes or less before they’re through security and at their gate ready to board. 👍

I’ll be at the airport multiple times a day for the next week, so if anything changes with TSA lines or wait times, I will update this page immediately so parents and students have accurate information.

PLEASE READ: you are the reason I have this business. I am so very thankful for each and every one of you that allow me to transport your student safely to and from the airport. I do not ever want to come across as unappreciative or that i am ignoring someone but I simply cannot keep up with the amount of messages coming through.

If I have booked your student, they are on my schedule. I do not lose track of bookings. Not yet anyway 🤪JK

This week the number of “just checking in” messages has gotten out of control, and it’s making it harder for me to answer the people who actually need immediate help. I’m driving from the early hours (1:30–2 am) of the morning until late at night, and I do not touch my phone while I’m on the road. I do try to answer as many messages as I can between drop off and pick up.

I appreciate every family who trusts me with their kids, but I need you to trust the booking process too. If I’ve confirmed with you, you’re set. Please only message me if something has changed or you need to book something new.

I will reach out the day before your ride, usually in a large group message, and I will give you your exact pick up time as well as payment information, vehicle, description, etc. your student will be picked up approximately three hours before their flight departs. My schedule changes daily from flight changes/cancellations so I’m not able to give you an exact time until the day before. If you do not hear from me by 7 PM the day before your pick up then please reach out.

If I have you on my schedule for a pick up tomorrow, before you land I will put you in a group text with your pick up instructions.

If you are booked with me for tomorrow and you do not need a ride, please give me the common courtesy to let me know ASAP. I had 21 students (20 freshman) cancel on me last week 24 hours or less from your pickup. That was a huge waste of my time, loss of money for me and most importantly, I turned down loyal customers because I was fully booked. Unfortunately due to that, I am going to be making some changes going forward as far as deposits. I do 99% of my own rides. I do 100% of my own bookings. I do 100% of my accounting. I do not have the time to waste booking someone that is only using me to hold a spot in case your original plans fall through. That’s not fair to me and I won’t tolerate it.
With that said, I am truly so grateful for each and everyone of you that have helped me to build such a successful business. I love what I do because I get to spend my days with your amazing students. From the bottom of my heart, I truly thank you 🥰

I have gotten so many messages about rides for this week as well as Thanksgiving. I have not had time to answer all of these messages and I’m really sorry to leave some of y’all hanging. I drive sometimes 12–15 hours a day which leaves me very little time to answer messages and write down bookings. Please be patient with me. I promise I’ll get back to you. I will say most of my fall break slots as well as Thanksgiving are fully booked. Thanks to you amazing parents sharing my information, I booked up really early this year.  If I have not responded, please accept my apologies. I promise you if I am home I spend every waking moment with my phone and my calendar in my hand.  I took a very rare day off yesterday to spend some time with my grandchildren, but I have been right back at it today with driving and returning messages as quickly as I can.

I am extremely behind and a little bit overwhelmed and trying to drive as well as get all these messages written down so bear with me. I still have availability, but if you have not already sent me a message and you would like to book a ride, if you’ll just give me till Friday to send a message that will give me time to get caught up.
