USDOT Announces Relief for Spirit Airlines Passengers and Employees
U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy has announced a coordinated relief plan with major airlines to help travelers and employees affected by Spirit Airlines’ shutdown on May 2, 2026 Fox Business+1.
Relief for Passengers
Fare caps for rebooking: United, Delta, JetBlue, and Southwest are capping ticket prices for Spirit customers rebooking canceled flights.
