This marks our 5th year as a company gathering items and packing shoeboxes for Samaritan's Purse – Operation Christmas Child

The planning starts months in advance, identifying the best items for each age group and gender, making sure everything fits inside the box (something we learned the hard way in our early years!), and collecting all the supplies.

This year, our amazing team came together once again and packed 200 boxes — 33 each for boys and girls across all three age groups, with a couple of extras to make it an even 200.

I am beyond proud of our team for the time and effort they dedicate outside of work, from planning and organizing to the fun and fellowship of the packing party. Having families join in makes it all the more meaningful and enjoyable.

Above all, we give glory to God for blessing our little company so that we can share those blessings around the world.

Another week, another successful delivery!

This 40-foot-long, 12-foot-wide, 12-foot-tall exhaust silencer made the trip from Mannford, OK to Houston, TX, safely and efficiently, thanks to one of our trusted Landstar partner carriers.

Happy Monday everyone!

Owens Leasing is hard at work moving data modules from Lewisville, TX to Manassas, VA, with additional runs headed west to Sparks, NV, each module size ranging from 27–32’ long, 4’6–9’ wide, and 12’5–13’ tall. We’re proud to be moving three loads a week through February 2025, supporting our customer’s nationwide operations, including additional runs to Sparks, NV.

Big shoutout to our BCOs Robert Richardson, Robert Childs, Keith Smith, and Jake (Henry) McCoury for keeping things moving safely and efficiently. The teamwork and consistency you all bring to this ongoing project make all the difference!

Check out these shots of BCO Chris Fells hauling a 13’ wide load from Carson, California all the way to Deer River, Minnesota. This freight is part of an ongoing gas compressor station project, one of many critical moves Owens Leasing supports to help keep energy infrastructure running strong.

Last week, several Owens Leasing team members and their families traveled to Guatemala with ICM. In 2024, Allison represented us on our first vision trip to Honduras, and this year, Barbara and her husband Mike joined Rick and Debbie, along with Rick’s daughter Morgan.

For over a year, we’ve prayed about how to deepen our partnership with ICM. Experiencing their ministry firsthand was both humbling and inspiring. Many years ago, we dedicated Owens Leasing fully to God. As stated in our Enduring Vision: “Owens Leasing will strive to be profitable and will invest the profit to expand the company and to meet the needs of our employees and others — physically, mentally, spiritually, and financially.”

During the trip, our group visited four churches and hope centers, two recently completed and two still seeking funding, as well as a seminary training pastors and leaders throughout Guatemala. Seeing how God is moving in these communities was incredible. In areas where people walk miles just to attend church, ICM’s mission, “A church within walking distance of everyone in the world,” takes on a powerful new meaning.

We’re so thankful for our employees and their families who share this heart for faith and service, and who are willing to travel thousands of miles to live out what Owens Leasing stands for. There’s much more to come, and we look forward to sharing future updates soon!

When time is critical, you can count on Owens Leasing to deliver!

This transformer was one of our more urgent hauls, the cargo being a necessity in restoring power to multiple buildings. Thanks to BCO Ceasar’s quick turnaround, it was picked up Thursday morning in San Antonio TX and delivered to La Porte TX by early afternoon, getting operations back up and running in no time!

 This week, BCO Albert “Bull” Guilfoil moved freight for a gas compressor station project from Houston, TX up to Newell, WV.

Bull used to run dedicated with the Owens team years ago and still hauls a lot of our freight today. After all this time, he’s more like family than just a partner, and we’re proud to have him representing Owens Leasing on the road.

A great start to another week!🚛💨

Check out these shots of BCO Keith Smith making heavy haul look easy. But don’t be fooled, because moves like this take years of experience, patience, and excellent communication.

This electrical building measured 16’ wide and 13’7” tall. Keith planned ahead by ordering permits a week early, picking up the cargo ahead of schedule, and even arriving at the staging area a full day early to scout the delivery site. That attention to detail paid off when Florida routing sent him down roads with low communication and traffic lights just before the drop.

Thanks to quick teamwork, Keith coordinated with our office and the client’s on-call team to bring in a bucket truck on Monday morning to clear the way and make sure the cargo was delivered safely.

We just wrapped up a round trip from Houston, TX to Chicago, IL for this year’s Fabtech 2025 Trade Show. Our driver worked hand-in-hand with both the customer and the trade show staff to make sure the materials moved smoothly in and out of the expo center.

Trade shows almost always mean long lines of trucks and lots of patience, but coordination and professionalism will always gets the job done.

Starting the week with a shoutout to BCOs Michael Coble and Derrick Bibb, who just finished up another regular run for one of our valued customers.

These oversized loads (each 13’6” wide) make the trip from Mexico to California every few weeks. This round came with its share of challenges, including a detour through Houston for paperwork processing, plus multiple construction detours along the way. In Arizona, they even had to travel an extra 120 miles just to bypass a 2-mile construction zone!

What sets Owens Leasing apart is how our team adapts to these challenges on the fly. With strong teamwork between drivers, escorts, and our permit services, the customer can count on deliveries being on time, no matter the obstacles.
