*** Tehachapi Area***
Please use extra caution when driving on Woodford-Tehachapi Road, from the top of the hill down to the Nature Park.
A couple geese have been moving around the area, and sadly, one has already been struck by a vehicle.
Slowing down gives you more time to react and can make the difference between life and death for wildlife. Remember, sometimes the speed limit is not the safe speed. Animals move around in the morning and at dusk.

Please stay alert, watch the roadsides, and help us keep our wildlife safe.

Thank you for looking out for our wildlife!

PROTECT CALIFORNIA’S BOBCATS!

California is considering allowing bobcat hunting, and Tehachapi Volunteer Wildlife Transport strongly opposes this proposal.
Bobcats are not hunted for food. This is about sport hunting.

We posted this Canadian Goose, from Hart Park back in October on the 13th, he was way smarter and faster than us. He had to soak his food in order to eat. We had two good Samaritans monitoring his health. He has been MIA for a couple days but showed up today. A big thank you to the good humans who caught him. Canadian goose will be enroute to SBWCN tomorrow for much needed care.
