The Shepherd’s Center of Oakton-Vienna (SCOV) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer-based, interfaith organization sponsored by area congregations and community groups to serve older persons in Oakton-Vienna-Reston-Herndon areas of Northern Virginia. Our primary purpose is to provide free services to assist older adults to continue to live independently in their own homes and to offer programs which supply opportunities for enrichment, learning and socialization. Volunteer opportunities allow individuals to feel needed by reaching out to other older adults.

“A World without Loneliness” for seniors, their families, their children and Veterans in Oakton-Vienna-Reston-Herndon communities. If you consider yourself a “People Person” who can successfully manage a fast-paced environment, this job is for you. We are a small but mighty staff, with a dedicated Board of Directors, and over 250+ volunteers that help us get the job done! Our focus is on alleviating isolation and loneliness by making connections, free medical and companion transportation, socialization with events, educational programs and fun!
