Title: Paratransit Operator/Driver
Supervisor: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Position Overview: We are a non-emergency medical transportation provider dedicated to
providing quality transportation 24/7, 365 days a year. We are searching for professional drivers who
are reliable, punctual, courteous and have a flexible schedule. The primary objective is providing
safe, reliable, and professional transportation to all of our clients throughout the DMV, in accordance
with the Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines.
Education and Experience/Qualifications: Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED
and be 25 years of age with a valid driver’s license. Two years of customer service experience
preferred, but not required.
Position Requirements:
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, TB screening, &
DOT physical.
• Candidates must have a clean driving record (No more than 2 violations in the past two years).
• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Licensed driver for at least three years.
• Report to work on time and in proper uniform.
• Maintain a strong attendance record.
• Safely operate a wheelchair passenger transportation vehicle.
• Possess a friendly and courteous attitude when transporting clients.
• Follow company safety and operational rules and procedures.
• Ability to operate a computer using (MS Word and Excel), and operate GPS unit (Mandatory).
• Must be able to lift up to 250lbs (if necessary).
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be flexible to work early morning hours or late evening hours.
• Must be flexible to be placed on-call for after hours, holidays, and weekends when rotated.
• Proper training will be provided. Should you be selected for an interview, you will be required to
submit a recent copy of your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Use company vehicles to provide clients with safe and reliable transportation to and from
appointments.
• Be responsible for pre-and post-vehicle safety and maintenance checks.
• Follow safe loading and unloading procedures.
• Communication of transport details with dispatch.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
