Long post/sorta-sob-story alert:

my dad is living with us now, which is AWESOME 🤩. The circumstances could be better. We are making a daily 4 hour round trip to Abilene for his cancer treatments. I’m working for a start up that hasn’t been funded yet, so the pay is about half what we normally need already. I was happily making up the difference driving Uber, but now that drive to Abilene has become my “second job”.

It’s the gas and food and associated travel expenses that are killing us.

Heeeeeey everyone! So in case anyone thought I might be crazy, here’s proof to the rest of you that the aforementioned are probably right 👀😬🤪😎

I am starting a ministry. It’s really all I know how to do, when it comes down to it. Or maybe it’s just that everything I do eventually comes down to my passion for the human person.

I know that my Christian siblings may have some difficulty seeing me as a “minister” or a brother. All I ask is that you at least give me a chance to serve beside you ecumenically, as you would ministers of other faiths. And I do believe we have a mutual Friend 😎. More on that in the future!

Like my page, troll my comments, whatever. Just show your old atheist pal a little Love. That, after all, is the core of my secular humanist gospel ❤️❤️❤️❤️

So just when you thought I might not be actually crazy …

I am starting a ministry!

What! But aren’t you a ….

Yes, I am indeed an atheist. That doesn’t mean I don’t think there is hope, power, and purpose for the human being 😎. And the skills and knowledge I gained as a United Methodist pastor and earning my M. Div. are still applicable to the needs of the homo sapien. lol and if you know me, you know I can’t hide the inner preacher and compassionate leader I’ve always been.

I have many dreams for this ministry. Right now, I’m spreading my gospel through Uber rides and video content. Someday I hope to have enough financial support to provide more pastoral care to people of faith and people of non-faith. Everyone can use a kind face and hand to hold when sick, or a guide through life’s many changes and rituals.

going to ? Don’t wait in line to pay to park then walk in this heat! Get dropped off at the front and have the nice valet open your door and guide you directly into the cool like my last passengers did!
