We are looking for a 310T Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The successful applicant will enjoy working in a positive work environment, in our newly renovated repair shop that is well equipped and work along side our existing shop hand to get the job done efficiently.

Thurler Milk Inc. is located in South Mountain, ON. We haul bulk raw milk with a fleet of 10 trucks and 10 trailers.

The full-time mechanic/service coordinator must be able to inspect, diagnose, adjust, repair and maintain trucks and trailers as well as miscellaneous repairs on various types of equipment. This includes but not exclusive to engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, electronics, A/C as well as emission systems. Welding may be required. Candidate must be able to perform 310T diesel mechanic functions as regulated by the Ministry of Transportation in addition to following and executing scheduled preventative maintenance service intervals.

The successful candidate will be required to maintain a clean and safe work environment. They must keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation, including the comparative pricing of parts, as well as recording of parts, equipment and labour utilized on repair orders. A valid G license is mandatory. Must be a 310T licensed Diesel Mechanic who posses their own tools with preferably 5+ years of experience. The position requires someone with a cooperative, positive attitude who can work independently but communicate effectively with co-workers, vendors, and the fleet manager. The industry we work in requires highly dependable team players who can diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical problems with minimum vehicle downtime. Strong attention to detail and accuracy is needed. We look forward to meeting you!

Bulk Tank Milk Truck Driver/AZ Truck Driver - Looking for a professional full-time AZ driver to pick up and deliver milk from local farms to local receiving plants. Return to depot every night. Works 7 days in a 14 day period. Attention to detail, and paperwork is necessary along with a professional and positive attitude in dealing with coworkers, farmers and plant receivers. Clean driver abstract required. 3 years heavy haul experience.

We would like to ask ALL farmers at this time to please be diligent in ensuring there is sufficient sand and salt for the drivers to safely complete their duties in picking up your milk. Last week we suddenly lost our lifelong friend and coworker, Scott Froats.

He was simply the most genuine, kind, hardworking, devoted family man and milk truck driver. This incredibly difficult past week has been filled with the deepest sorrow and sadness that we feel for Scott’s incredible son Ryan, his loving parents Dennis and Jean, his best friend and brother Blair (and family), his sweet sister Karen (and family) and his loving companion Tammy.

For Scott’s many loyal and lifetime friends, his longtime farmers that he was so proud to serve, our company and his fellow coworkers, life will never be the same without him. We will miss his wonderful smile, his infectious booming boisterous laugh and his love of his own life and love of his family and nature, that radiated though him every day. What free time Scott had, he gave unconditionally and lovingly to his family and friends. The other half of his life, his work life, we had the great privilege of sharing with him, and Oliver and I will forever be grateful for that. XO
