Port Tampa Bay remains open for business.
As we take every proactive step to follow CDC guidelines for preventative measures against COVID-19, we also have an obligation to our community, our state, and to consumers to stand on the front lines and keep cargo operations moving as normal as possible.
As the largest port in Florida, we are also the state’s most diversified port in terms of our multiple lines of business. Although our cruise line partners are not sailing for a 30-day period, we must continue front line duties. Port staff work alongside private stevedores and terminal operators, line handlers, pilots and tugboats to provide uninterrupted services and import and export goods. This includes everything from gasoline for your car, to steel, lumber, aggregate, cement and other construction materials, as well as containers carrying food, beverages, consumer goods, and bulk agricultural products including fertilizers and related products.
We are working daily with local municipalities, the Office of the Governor, CDC, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and other strategic partners to keep operations moving in a productive direction. All the while, we continue to minimize risks and maximize continued services that keep our communities running and our citizens safe and healthy.
Once again, Port Tampa Bay remains open for business and we will continue to be as safe and proactive as possible. Rest assured, we are on the job.
Thank you for allowing us to continue to serve businesses and consumers alike. As a community, we are stronger together.
