MUST LIVE IN THE MCHENRY COUNTY AREA PREFERRED WOODSTOCK IL OR CLOSE BY.Join our dynamic transportation team as a Taxi Cab Driver, where your primary role is to provide safe, reliable, and friendly transportation services to passengers. You will navigate city streets and highways efficiently, ensuring timely arrivals and departures while delivering exceptional customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of the community, helping people reach their destinations comfortably and securely. Your expertise in driving various vehicle types and your commitment to safety will be essential in creating positive experiences for every rider.
Responsibilities
Safely operate taxi cab authorized vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
Provide courteous, professional service to passengers, assisting with boarding, luggage handling, and route inquiries
Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety
Use GPS navigation systems or traditional maps to determine the most efficient routes
Collect fares accurately using cashless payment systems or traditional methods, issuing receipts as needed
Communicate effectively with dispatchers or operations centers regarding trip details or any incidents that may arise
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving license (CDL) or chauffeur’s license preferred not required
Proven experience in driving, including delivery driver experience, bus driving, or paratransit services
Familiarity driver experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of local streets, traffic patterns, and navigation tools
Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently while maintaining safety standards
Physical ability to assist passengers with luggage or mobility needs if required
