🚨 Important Wildlife Transport Update 🚨
Due to many wildlife care centers within a four-hour radius currently being at or near capacity, our ability to transport wildlife has become very limited.
If you find an injured, sick, or orphaned wild animal, please contact one of the wildlife care centers listed in this post first to determine whether they are able to accept the animal.
If a facility confirms they can accept the animal, please ask them to contact Tehachapi Volunteer Wildlife Transport directly, and we will do our best to coordinate transportation.
We know this is frustrating, and we share your concern for these animals. We are continuing to work closely with wildlife care centers and will transport whenever space becomes available.

We lost… again to SGARS. This baby bled out, and even from her eyes. Still think rodenticides don’t affect anything but the rat/mouse? Take a good look at poison doing what poison does.

We will update daily , but as of today - 6/18/26- every facility within a 4 hour drive is at capacity for Barn Owls, Great Horned Owls , Red
Tailed Hawks , Red Shouldered Hawks and No Fawns can be transported at this time. (Virus)
We can transport Songbirds, smaller raptors with injuries and some mammals .
You can call us and we will document what you have and help you fill out CDFW reports .
