BROODING TIPS
1. brooding area must be cleaned and disinfected at least a week before bringing in new stick.
2. Practicing deep litter is the best for bio security reasons. Make sure your litter is 5-7cm deep in the brooder
3. Brooding stock density if using a brazier as your heat source then place 30 birds per square meter. If you are using infra red bulbs or heaters, place 35 birds per square meter.
4. Make sure you maintain a temperature of between 32 and 35 degrees on placement, there after reduce by 1 degree every 2 days.
5. Ensure the brooder has proper ventilation to give and maintain good air quality
6. Give water that is fit for human consumption
7. Lastly give quality feed from trusted suppliers
