Set Goals and Plan Your Savings:

Try to establish a timeframe for goals. For example, buying a new house or car is a goal that is more possible than ever. Saving up for it will be much easier if you set a deadline for it. If the goal is to get the house or car in three years, then you will be obliged to save as much as you can before that term reaches its end. Plan out your savings, particularly in terms of how much to set aside each month, to meet your goals. Calculate how much to save each week, month, or year to reach the goal. While this isn’t always followed strictly, at least it will allow you to compensate for each skipped deposit. The idea is to create momentum and encourage consistency. It is one of the greatest secrets of saving.

Invest in Your Skill:

Investment doesn’t just mean investing in a business or stocks. It can also pertain to an investment in your talents. For example, you are a corporate worker who is secretly skilled in painting. If it’s part of your dream to paint and sell your artwork, use a small portion of your savings to invest in some paints and brushes. It might seem like it’s only for personal satisfaction, but personal satisfaction involving talent is always an investment. Once practiced and enhanced, your skill can be a means to earn more money through freelancing or part-time work.

Control Your Temper (Anger):

There once was a little boy who had a very bad temper. His father decided to hand him a bag of nails and said that every time the boy lost his temper, he had to hammer a nail into the fence.

On the first day, the boy hammered 37 nails into that fence.

The boy gradually began to control his temper over the next few weeks, and the number of nails he was hammering into the fence slowly decreased.

He discovered it was easier to control his temper than to hammer those nails into the fence.

Finally, the day came when the boy didn’t lose his temper at all. He told his father the news and the father suggested that the boy should now pull out a nail every day he kept his temper under control.

The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence.

“you have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won’t matter how many times you say I’m sorry, the wound is still there.”

Moral: Control your anger, and don’t say things to people in the heat of the moment, that you may later regret. Some things in life, you are unable to take back.

Three men were drunk and they stopped a taxi. The taxi driver figured that they were not in their minds so, he just switched on the engine and switched it off and told them: "we have arrived". The first man gave him money. The second one thanked the taxi driver. The third one slapped him (the taxi driver). The taxi driver was stunned because he was hoping that none of them had realized that the car didnt move an inch, but he faked surprise and asked the third man: "what was that for?". The drunken man replied: "control your speed next time! you nearly killed us!!!"
