In case you missed it: this is where Private Limousine started.

Back in 2006, our founder was a bank officer working near the World Trade Center in Dubai. He kept noticing the same thing — businessmen in suits, running for taxis, no different from anyone else on the curb.

That stuck with him.

Twenty years on, it's still the reason we exist: getting people where they need to be, without the scramble.

Good one to know if you're out and about this Friday: RTA is offering free public parking across Dubai for the Prophet's Birthday holiday, with the exception of multi-storey parking facilities, which still apply their normal rates.

Worth keeping in mind if you're heading to a packed spot, since free parking usually means busier streets too.

If you'd rather skip the search for a spot altogether, that's exactly the kind of day a chauffeur earns its keep.

F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali reaffirmed the calendar, saying preparations are progressing well and the event remains on track as planned.
