🌅 Outback NSW & Lightning Ridge — What a journey!

Last week, our passengers explored seven incredible days through the heart of outback NSW — and what a trip it was.

From the charming streets of Gunnedah and the poetry-rich history of the region, to the red dust and rare black opals of Lightning Ridge, the outback has a way of getting under your skin. Underground art galleries, artesian bore baths, sandstone carvings, bush pubs full of character, and a stop at Taronga Western Plains Zoo made for an unforgettable week.

And a very special highlight — our passengers got to meet some of the miners from the hit TV show Outback Opal Hunters out on the fields! 🎬 A once-in-a-lifetime moment that nobody saw coming!

The trip wrapped up with a humbling visit to the Royal Flying Doctor Service — the perfect ending to a truly special journey.

If you haven’t already seen, we will proudly be displaying our Denning double decker for Deckers in the Night this Saturday night at Sydney Bus Museum.

The event features vintage double decker bus rides across the city and over the Sydney Harbour Bridge giving you the perfect chance to take in the lights of Vivid from a truly unique vantage point.

Our double decker will remain on show for the evening before departing at 10pm for a dedicated after dark photoshoot run. We look forward to sharing this special night with fellow enthusiasts.

📸 1950s — Port Stephens Buses is Born

This is the decade that started it all for us right here at home. In 1957, Sid Fogg purchased the Newcastle–Nelson Bay operations and named it Port Stephens Buses. Six buses, a vehicular ferry to Stockton, and services starting at 5:25am. Consistent, efficient and people-focused from day one.

Two decades. That's a long time to keep a fleet on the road, and our Sandgate workshop manager Terry has done it with the kind of quiet dedication that doesn't always get the spotlight it deserves.

His knowledge, hard work and commitment behind the scenes have helped ensure thousands of passengers reach their destinations every day.

Fleet & Maintenance Manager Josh put on a BBQ to celebrate — good food, good company, and deep gratitude from our PSC family for everything Terry has contributed over the last 20 years!
