🚌 FREE ONE-WAY SHUTTLE SERVICE FOR ROUND 13 AFL IN BUNBURY 🚌

If you are flying in to the Busselton Margaret River Airport next week for the Round 13 AFL game in Bunbury, there will be a free bus service provided by Tourism WA to the following locations and destinations.

A free limited-stop shuttle bus will run from Busselton Airport to Busselton and Bunbury on:
• Friday 6 June (JQ900 from Melbourne) 10:20am
• Saturday 7 June (JQ898 from Sydney) 2:05pm

The bus departs from the airport arrivals terminal, stopping at:
• Albert Street bus bays
• Foreshore Parade near the Visitors Centre
• Bunbury Visitor Centre
Please note seating is limited and unreserved, so will be subject to availability.

How does Bussell Highway look? 👀

Since 2020, Main Roads have been upgrading a 17-kilometre section of Bussell Highway between Bunbury and Busselton with new lanes, road improvements and bridge construction frustrating drivers and travelers.

Despite hopes the Bussell Highway duplication project would be completed at the same time as the Wilman Wadandi Highway, five years on the roadworks continue.

But as of tomorrow, Bussell Highway will be temporarily opened for the April school holidays with all four lanes operational and no speed restrictions.

Main Roads confirmed the news in a statement and said finishing works to the highway will resume after the school holidays and run through mid-2025.

"As is common, roads may be opened while finishing works are completed, to ensure road users can begin to see the benefits," said a spokesperson.

"Like all road works, these may require temporary lane closures and speed reductions, which will be appropriately communicated in advance."
